The YMCA Summer Day Camp on Children’s Island provides children with memories, new experiences and friendships that will last a lifetime. It is a truly special time in the children’s lives. For the parents, it is a relief knowing their child is well cared for, in a safe place, and having fun!
Nancamp has provided this camping experience to more than 337 children and their families from the greater North Shore area. We know we are making a difference for these families by what the families we serve have to say about the children’s camp experiences.

We wanted to take a moment to personally thank you and Nancamp for providing our four-year-old twins Dick and Deedee with the opportunity to attend YMCA Small Fry Camp this summer. It was an amazing experience for our entire family
After a winter and spring filled with the uncertainty and difficulties of a mother going through surgery and chemotherapy, they were able to enjoy opportunities they otherwise would not have been afforded. Their swimming skills, confidence, and social skills have dramatically improved thanks to the programs offered at the Y. We were treated nightly to stories of their day trips, swimming lessons and adventures. The Program Directors, Mike and Marianne, and their counselors, deserve the highest of praise. Their commitment, care, and sense of humor were evident every day when we dropped off or picked up. We can’t tell you how much it meant to us all. We look forward to next year, and if there is anything we can do to help support Nancamp, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
